Cassidy Towriss Brought Vintage Designer Fashion to the 2026 Austin Grand Prix

Austin gives the Formula 1 paddock permission to have a little fun. Cowboy boots come out, suede gets its moment, and suddenly everyone has a very good reason to go shopping for denim. For Cassidy Towriss, the 2026 United States Grand Prix was an opportunity to take that invitation in a particularly fashionable direction.

Across three standout looks, she mixed Roberto Cavalli with vintage Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana, giving Texas dressing an archival designer twist. There were cowboy boots, naturally. But there was also an ’80s skirt suit and a denim corset dress that deserves a closer look. Here’s how Cassidy’s Austin Grand Prix wardrobe came together.

Thursday: Roberto Cavalli and Cowboy Boots

Cassidy opened her weekend on October 22 in a Roberto Cavalli Ruched Trompe L’œil Minidress, paired with Lucchese Priscilla Cowboy Boots and a Chanel Maxi Flap Bag in suede.

A printed Cavalli mini already brings plenty of personality. Adding cowboy boots gives it an Austin accent, while the oversized suede Chanel introduces a softer texture alongside the statement print.

The appeal is in the proportions: a short, fitted dress, tall boots and a generously sized bag. Each piece has presence, but the outfit still feels easy to take in. It’s a convincing opening argument for packing your favourite dress and letting the boots handle the location.

Friday: Denim & Crocodile for Qualifying

On October 23rd, Cassidy’s Practice wardrobe also included a combination that feels right at home in Austin: a cowboy hat, dark flared jeans and a very good going-out top.

Her Curatoria Fuste Top brought soft draping and a plunging neckline to the look and the rich chocolate brown paired beautifully with the deep blue jeans, while a pale Stetson Cowboy Hat supplied the unmistakable Texas finishing touch. And then the bag. A burgundy Christian Dior Crocodile Lady Dior added glossy texture and a little structure against the fluid top. Even a cowgirl needs somewhere to keep her paddock pass.

What makes this outfit work is how easily the pieces come together. The flared denim and hat establish the Western mood, leaving the draped top and jewel-toned Dior to dress things up. File this one away for the next time “jeans and a nice top” needs to deliver.

Saturday: Vintage Gucci Takes the Paddock

For qualifying on October 24, Cassidy wore a vintage Gucci Autumn/Winter 1980–1981 ensemble, combining a brown suede blazer with a coordinating leather-panelled midi skirt. Prada Antiqued Leather Pumps in Cocoa Brown, a vintage Prada Cerniera Shoulder Bag in Pale Yellow and Bottega Veneta Knot Cat Eye Sunglasses completed the outfit.

An archival Gucci skirt suit at a race circuit? We’re very happy to make time for that. The suede and rich brown palette carry the weekend’s Western mood into a more tailored silhouette. The pale-yellow bag is an especially good touch, breaking up the deeper tones without competing with the clothes.

This is the look that makes you want to spend an unreasonable amount of time browsing vintage listings. The jacket and skirt have enough character to anchor an entire outfit separately, yet wearing them together gives the ensemble its wonderfully assured finish.

Sunday: Dolce & Gabbana Denim for Race Day

On October 25, for race day, Cassidy chose a vintage Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2002 Denim Butterfly Corset Midi Dress. She wore it with the Prada Cocoa Brown pumps, Saint Laurent Classic SL 51 Sunglasses in Light Havana and a Saint Laurent Amalia Mini Hobo Bag in Caramel Cognac suede.

The lace-up bodice and contrast stitching give the denim dress plenty to work with. Keeping the accessories in warm brown tones lets those details lead, while the suede bag adds another texture to the mix.

There’s also something satisfying about seeing the Prada pumps return. They connect two very different vintage outfits and make a persuasive case for finding one excellent pair of brown heels.

A Wardrobe Worth Revisiting

Fashion was part of Cassidy’s Austin weekend beyond her own outfits, too. Cadillac credits its Chief Brand Advisor with leading the team creatives involved in developing the race’s Texas-themed livery. Her wardrobe gave us a similarly thoughtful approach to the setting: suede, denim and cowboy boots, with room for a few excellent vintage discoveries. Each day had its own identity, yet the warm colours and tactile fabrics made the weekend feel connected.

Our favourite takeaway? Put that vintage piece you’ve been saving into rotation or seek out fantastic finds on resale sites. Cassidy’s Austin wardrobe makes a strong case for giving great clothes another outing.
