Rebecca Donaldson Designs a Bag for DeMellier

Looks like Rebecca Donaldson has added handbag designer to her fashion résumé! The Scottish model and entrepreneur, known for her effortlessly polished paddock style alongside Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz, has partnered with London-based accessories label DeMellier to create a limited-edition version of the brand’s Stockholm Shoulder bag.

Part of DeMellier’s new ICONS 26 collection, the collaboration sees Rebecca reinterpret the signature silhouette in a dreamy dark sage leather with contrasting ecru stitching. The result is a handbag that feels kinda like we’re describing her style itself: understated, versatile and quietly luxurious.

Inside Rebecca Donaldson’s DeMellier Collaboration

If you’ve been following Rebecca’s style for a while like we have, her choice of handbag probably won’t come as much of a surprise. She’s never been one for overly fussy accessories, and the Stockholm Shoulder fits right into the kind of wardrobe we’ve come to expect from her.

For the collaboration, Rebecca chose DeMellier’s Stockholm Shoulder, an elongated east-west silhouette with a softly structured shape. Her version comes in a muted dark sage fine-grain leather, with contrasting ecru stitching that gives the otherwise minimalist design a little something extra.

And while we’re used to seeing black, chocolate brown and burgundy handbags everywhere, there’s something particularly lovely about this shade of green. It’s neutral enough to work with almost anything, but still feels a little different. The bag features elongated shoulder handles, a zip closure and DeMellier’s signature knotted zip pull. It’s the kind of piece that looks just as good tucked under your arm with jeans and a white tee as it does with a tailored blazer.

Why This Collaboration Makes So Much Sense

Rebecca’s wardrobe has always leaned toward classic pieces with a modern twist so when it came to designing her own handbag, it makes sense that she didn’t go for something loud or overly embellished. Rebecca says it best:

The Stockholm Shoulder immediately stood out to me because it perfectly embodies the kind of bag I naturally gravitate towards. It’s timeless, effortlessly elegant and incredibly versatile. I think it’s equally suited to everyday wear or a more elevated look. The craftsmanship also felt like the ideal canvas for collaboration. It was exciting to explore subtle refinements that reflected my own style while staying true to the essence of The Stockholm Shoulder.

Instead, she’s taken an existing DeMellier favourite and given it a subtle refresh. The sage leather feels softer than your typical black handbag, while the contrasting stitching adds just enough detail to make it interesting. It’s also a bag that feels genuinely wearable, which is something we appreciate about Rebecca’s style. Even when she’s wearing head-to-toe designer, there’s usually something about the outfit that feels easy to recreate.

From the F1 Paddock to Handbag Designer

We love seeing Rebecca grow into more projects in the fashion world as we watch her fashion evolve in the paddock. Whether she’s arriving at a Grand Prix, attending a fashion event or sharing a more casual off-duty look, her outfits tend to strike that balance between polished and effortless.

Now, rather than simply carrying the latest designer handbag, Rebecca has had a hand in creating one herself. Will we see the dark sage Stockholm Shoulder making its paddock debut sometime soon? We’ll certainly be keeping an eye out.
